This is Polly. She is part of my new "Pose Doll Experiment" project. A real pose doll brought to "virtual" life. She is my first born... more to come.
I love change of season! Each one is inspiring and perfect for photo opportunities. So far my favorite Fall photo is today's Little Acorn shot. As I was taking this photo, the yellow jacket bee (seen below) was busy gathering pollen, moss or mud off the table. He was working so hard, he didn't even bother with me or Little Acorn. I think he's busy building a nest for cool Fall days.
Here are some more photos in the spirit of the season or Fall Wonders.
(The photo above is available in the Shop as an Mini Print/ACEO.)
I just had to share this very lovely little illustration in this fancy frame by my daughter, Samantha. She mailed it to me last week as a test package/order for her up-and-coming shop "little men". (I put it in this too fancy of a frame.) Soon I will announce her shop opening! (I'm very excited!!)
Today I share with you my favorite antique cabinet (from Bali)! It's the cabinet I love so much but it's also filled with all sorts of treasures, collections, books and other things. Some day I hope to fill it all up with the rest of things it was intended for... all stored far away in Michigan. For now, enjoy peeking into my favorite cabinet as it is today.

(Though I'm a tad ill - if you didn't notice already on Twitter) I've been working on new edition of stickers. One set is images of my animal illustrations (above). They still need minor size, color and other adjustments but here's a sneak peek of my work in progress. Look for them to arrive by next week.
After tucking my ferrets in last night, I starting working on my dream project - my own personal wood/kokeshi dolls. Above are my first few practice faces - pen on cheap destash wood peg heads. Practice only -- the spacing and proportions are key to cute -- until I paint actual wood doll heads/bodies I've ordered. The first few will naturally be for myself and gifts. But if somehow they end up with exceptional cuteness, maybe I'll actually make a few for Shop 66. For now this is just fun!
Because I have lots of cute vintage paper dolls in my stationery collection, I've decided to share some of them in the following way: limited edition* handcut sets. This first edition is of an early 1950's "family" of paper dolls. Each family member with their wardrobe will be available for purchase. All handcut and ready for play. Look for the first few dolls to debut tonight (sister and little sister...then brother, mother and father will follow).

I can also make up special order tins. Please contact me through my Shop if you are interested. :)
