All the Little (Vintage Christmas) Animals!

Now that all my vintage Christmas ornaments and decorations are out and displayed, I can share my collection in detail. In addition to many requests to see things up close, I get asked "What do you keep?" because I sell so many cute things in Shop 66. I hope this helps answer the question.

Today I'm sharing my favorite vintage, made in Japan, Christmas animal ornaments. The few I've kept are all special to me in one way or another. Teddy, Pandy and Pup (above) are my favorite in the category of cute and FUN! I love this trio.

The Raccoons. They remind me of my ferrets, especially Meiko & Milo.
A Gang of Mice. Each hold little candles. All felt with flat bodies.
Poseable mice. They were popular and I find them often. I have a few favorites.
More mice with poseable tails and chubby little bodies.
The Lions. A rare find. I love their fuzzy manes.
Squirrels! I find them often but tattered. :(
And last, a kooky Tiger in bright colors.

Knickerbocker Gingerbread Plush

Here is my super cute vintage Gingerbread couple by Knickerbocker (circa 1960's). I found this pair two years ago when I was doll hunting. I had to make them mine because I was one of the many children from that era that had one. I named mine "Gingie". He was a newer edition from 1970 but was still soft, cuddly, cute and loveable (photos below).

Today my Gingerbread came out to play because my friend, Linda, posted her vintage Gingerbread plush on Flickr. I also went and searched Flickr and discovered others who had or have the same Gingerbread Knickerbocker plush dolls. I discovered lots of other vintage gingerbread men and fantastic vintage inspired gingerbread dolls, houses and etc. So I immediately started a brand new Flickr group:

It's a Small World!

I just had to share this original narrated clip of the Small World from the 1964 Wonderful World of Color "Disneyland Goes to the World's Fair"... all because my vintage Small World lite set (below) inspired me to find a real vintage clip.

The Doll Room Pixie/Elf/Doll Display FINISHED!

Hooray! I finished arranging the Doll Room "Pixie/Elf/Doll Display" (with reindeer too). Hoping to hang some lights tomorrow. I found a vintage Japan "Small World" like light set. Fun!
